Proposers are strongly encouraged to contact NSF NeXUS staff early in proposal development to review NSF NeXUS Facility capabilities, ensure feasibility, and discuss safety concerns.
Meet our Staff
1 Discuss Your Experiment with NSF NeXUS
Email nsf_nexus@osu.edu with a brief description of your proposed experiment, and our staff will put you in contact with the appropriate technical staff member at NSF NeXUS.
2 Prepare Your Proposal
Download these tools to assist you:

Proposal Template - Formatted Word document
Proposal must be converted to .pdf format for upload.
3 Submit Proposal via Web Form
Additional required information you will need:
- Team Lead contact information
- Proposal Title
- Experiment Category (review here)
- Name(s) of NSF NeXUS staff you have worked with in developing proposal
- Any weeks you are unavailable to work on experiment
The Proposal Submission Form includes a link to upload a .pdf of your proposal. Team Lead will be asked to agree to NSF NeXUS Terms & Conditions.
Next Steps:
- An independent Proposal Review Panel will evaluate proposals based on criteria described in the NSF NeXUS Proposal Preparation Guide
- Panel will submit award recommendations to NSF NeXUS
- NSF NeXUS will establish lab schedule, contact team leads and announce awarded proposals
